2011 Parliament Iftar Dinner

Queensland Intercultural Society hosted its annual Ramadan Iftar Dinner at the Parliament house.

The keynote speaker was Prof. Greg Barton from Monash University. Hon. Jon Mickel, Speaker of the Parliament hosted the event. Hon. Annastacia Palaszcuk MP Minister for Multicultural Affairs and Hon. Michael Crondon MP (representing the Opposition) gave speeches highlighting Australia's multicultural approach to its people. Government representatives, members of the Opposition, prominent members of the parliament, community leaders and Religious leaders were also present at the event.
