The Queensland Intercultural Society presented the annual Building Bridges Awards for 2008. The awards go to individuals and organizations who have contributed their time, energy, leadership, and dedication to the cause of intercultural dialog, peace, tolerance, community service and understanding.

The event which took place at the Annual Ramadan Dinner at the Blue Frog Restaurant, kicked off with a reception for the distinctinguished guests from academia, media, and politics.

Armand Von Stein along with David Ferrini were among the first to take the stage where they expressed their delight in living in a multicultural environment with many different people from all around the world.
