The younger generation of Australians have lots to learn from the diggers. QIS believes RSL are one of the most important symbols of Australia and are essential for understanding the Australian spirit. We are proud to have engaged with RSL QLD participating in a cross-generational & inter-cultural event.

QIS participated in joint pilgrimage to Istanbul and Rome Print E-mail

Queensland Intercultural Society participated in a joint pilgrame to Istanbul and Rome with Catholic and Muslim community leaders and intellectuals of Australia

Queensland Intercultural Society participated in a joint pilgrame to Istanbul and Rome with a group of Australian Muslim and Catholics leaders. This first of its kind event has enabled religious leaders from both faith groups to study and understand each others religious principles, customs and significant institutions by means of a close encounter. The important pilgrimage was organized under the umbrella of the historic MOU signed between the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne and the Australian Intercultural Society.

QIS and AIS directors met His Grace Archbishop Bathersby Print E-mail

Queensland Intercultural Society directors Fatih Asar, Murat Coskun, Yasar Savran and Mr Emre Celik, General Coordinator of Australian Intercultural Society (AIS) met His Grace Archbishop Bathersby and Ms Margaret Naylon from Catholic Archiodese last friday.

It was a very warm and fruitful meeting as His Grace and QID directors shared opinions on society and faith and importance of interreligious and intercultural dialogue.
