Community leaders gathered in Brisbane for the largest Australian interfaith summit between February 18 and 21, 2009. Community leaders gathered in Brisbanefor the largest Australian interfaith summit "One Humanity, Many Faiths" between February 18 and 21, 2009. The summit organized by Professor Toh Swee-Hin from the Brisbane Multi-Faith said the summit aimed to provide the roadmap for interfaith dialogue in Australia.
"This is an imporant opportunity for identifying challenges facing faith communities in promoting peace and harmony and to explore positive ways to overcome such challenges" Mr. Savran said. |

QIS Director Yasar Savran attended the summit and exchanged ideas and held meetings with Religious leaders from various communities.
Queensland Intercultural Society participated in a joint pilgrame to Istanbul and Rome with a group of Australian Muslim and Catholic leaders.
