QIS' annual Women of Faith dinner was held at Harem Restaurant at prominent Paddington region. The dinner meeting was a great opportunity for all attending communities to build stronger relationships and to learn from each other.
The QIS Ladies' Network aims to enhance social cohesion through such multicultural social interactions. We believe that learning each other's customs and traditions through social activities will bring people closer and create a medium for living in harmony. QIS Ladies’ Network have been organizing events such the annual Women's only Dinner, cooking classes, interfaith visits and private home Iftars.
The dinner was held at Harem Turkish Restaurant located on Given Tce at the prominent Paddington area. The ladies enjoyed a set menu of authentic Turkish cuisine and enjoyed the Harem Restaurant terrace overlooking Brisbane city lights.
Representatives from The Progressive Jewish Congregation of Queensland Inc., Greek Orthodox Community, Ecumenism and Inter-religious Relations Ministry and Community Life Team Faith and Life Vicariate, Uniting Church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Islamic Women's Association Queensland.
The ladies enjoyed their time and exchanged ideas for future projects.
